June 20th/21st Experimental Portrait Photography Workshop

Step into the world of fashion imagery with this dynamic, style-driven workshop designed for students who want to explore how powerful photographs are made—and how ideas, identity, and visual storytelling come together through the lens.

This bespoke workshop takes place over 2 days, giving students the time and space to develop ideas, experiment creatively, and build a strong, cohesive body of work. Across both sessions, participants move through the full fashion photography process—from concept to final images—while receiving focused guidance at every stage.

The workshop dives deep into the creative foundations of fashion photography, exploring concept development, styling, and the role of mood and identity in image-making. Students will look closely at the work of influential fashion photographers, analysing how storytelling and visual language shape powerful fashion imagery, and using this research to inform their own creative direction.

Students will shoot both **in the studio and on location**, experimenting with fashion portraiture and editorial-style setups while learning how to use **natural light effectively** in a range of environments. A strong emphasis is placed on working with people, helping students build confidence in **directing models and subjects** and communicating ideas clearly during a shoot.

June 6th/7th Fashion Photography Workshop

Across the 2 day course, students will explore the foundations of documentary photography, from developing a narrative and working with real-world subjects to understanding ethics, intention, and visual consistency. Through guided shooting exercises, discussion, and practical feedback, you’ll learn how to approach a story, anticipate moments, and create images that go beyond single frames.

The course focuses on observation, patience, and authenticity—helping you build confidence in working on location while refining your ability to communicate ideas and emotions through photographs. Suitable for all levels, this workshop encourages personal vision while providing clear tools and techniques you can apply to your own documentary projects.

We will provide you with a professional SLR camera, editing software and work by other documentary photographers to inspire you. All we need from you is an open mind, and a curiosity for real stories unfolding around you!

Discover the world through a new lens this summer at our exciting Photography Academy for young creatives aged 8–18. Designed to inspire confidence, creativity, and self-expression, this hands-on programme gives students the chance to explore photography in a fun, supportive, and professional environment.

Whether your child is picking up a camera for the first time or already passionate about photography, this immersive course is packed with creative challenges, outdoor adventures, studio experiences, and real-world photography skills.

## Learn with Professional Equipment

All equipment is fully provided, allowing students to jump straight into creating. Young photographers will work with Olympus E-PL10 mirrorless cameras, learning the foundations of photography including focus, exposure, composition, and visual storytelling in an engaging and accessible way.

Students will also edit their work on iMac computers using Adobe Lightroom Classic, discovering how professional photographers use colour, light, and mood to transform images and develop a personal style.

## Explore, Create & Be Inspired

With summer in full swing, students will head outdoors for vibrant photo walks and creative location shoots around Camden, capturing street scenes, architecture, portraits, and everyday moments through a fresh artistic perspective.

## Fashion & Studio Photography

Inside the studio, students will experiment with professional lighting, backdrops, styling, and creative direction during an exciting fashion-inspired photoshoot experience. They’ll learn how to work collaboratively, direct models, and bring creative concepts to life while building confidence in a professional studio setting.

## Nature & Wildlife Photography

Weather permitting, students will also visit the farm, where they can slow down, observe the natural world, and explore wildlife photography. This experience encourages patience, composition-building, and learning how to work with natural light in beautiful outdoor environments.

## Build a Professional Portfolio

As the week progresses, students will curate and refine their strongest images into their own personal body of work. They’ll learn how photographers select, sequence, and present images professionally — leaving with a portfolio they can feel proud of.

Most importantly, this week is about creativity, confidence, friendship, and fun. Students are encouraged to experiment, collaborate, and express themselves while developing valuable creative and technical skills in a high-energy and supportive environment.
